  • Accounting Assistant

    Job Overview
    We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dedicated Accounting Assistant to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting and administrative processes, assisting the Finance Manager who is responsible for our school’s financial health, while aligning with our mission of serving children and families. 
    Key Responsibilities: 
    • Assist with day-to-day financial operations, including processing accounts payable and receivable. 
    • Maintain accurate and organized financial records 
    • Help with payroll preparation and processing 
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports 
    • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents 
    • Support the Business Manager with budget tracking and forecasting 
    • Assist with audit preparation and reporting for grant funding and compliance 
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations 
    • Provide support during fundraising and event-related accounting needs 
    Qualifications: 
    • High school diploma or equivalent 
    • Experience and/or post-secondary education in an accounting or bookkeeping role 
    • Accounting software experience is beneficial
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively 
    • A commitment to the mission and values of Montessori education and the not-for-profit sector Strong communication skills 
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Occasional ECE/Montessori Guides

    Lakeview Montessori School is looking for occasional ECE/Montessori Guides. This person should be a dynamic and kind-hearted teacher who has a love for children and whose primary goal is to nurture and inspire each student. 

    Applicants must have experience working with children 6 weeks to 6 years of age.  The successful candidate should be patient, enthusiastic and have the ability to work in a Montessori environment. 

    The candidate must have Standard First Aid, Infant and Child CPR certificate and current VSC Police Record Check.

    Financial Details: $18.50 - $21.50 per hour
