It’s LMS Yearbook time again! Our LMS yearbooks are wonderful mementos of the experiences and special times at Lakeview during 2011-2012.
Yearbooks will be supplied to each of our families.

We hope to cover most of the costs of producing the yearbook with advertisements, so we need your help!
Take the opportunity to express your support of our school while advertising your products and/or services to the 175+ families involved at LMS; or simply take out an ad from your family to congratulate a graduate or your child for a great year.

Volunteers for LMS Track Meet

We are looking for volunteers for our LMS 4th Annual Invitational Track Meet which will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
This is an all day event.

If you can help out for the whole day or for a half day, please fill in the form below and return to the office by May 18, 2012.

Hoops for Heart

A big heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in and donated to the Hoops for Heart event that was held last month! The students were able to collect $4083.25 in pledges which well exceeds the goal of $3000 that was set by coach Ray.

Mini Track Meet

The Elementary students will be having a mini track meet on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 1-3:00pm.
The they will be walking there and back.

Track Meet Practices

The Elementary students will be having track practices at L’Essor from 3:30-4:30pm on the following Tuesdays:

May 15, 22, 29, 2012

Students will walk from LMS to L’Essor @ 3:10pm.
Parents may pick their children up at L’Essor @4:30pm.
Students who are not picked up will walk back to the school to join our after school supervision.

Pre-Summer Scholastic Book Sale

We are so excited to announce our last book sale of the school year.

Why?

Because it is a BOGO sale! That’s right, it’s buy one get one free!
This is our way of saying thank you to everyone who has supported our Scholastic book sale endeavours for the school year.

And, it’s a sure way to build up a great collection of books to read over the summer so that you can “Stop the summer slide!”
Did you know that children who do not read in the summer can lose 2-3 months of reading development?

And on top of that, Scholastic will donate 50% of our net sales to designated children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network and to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
It’s a win-win situation.

If you would like to volunteer to work at the sale, please let the office know.

Canada Day

LMS will be celebrating Canada Day on Monday July 2, 2012 as July 1 falls on a Sunday.
School will be closed.

PD Days

June 28 and 29 are PD days at LMS.

There will be supervision on June 28 based on need.
Students must be registered to attend the PD day.

June 29 will be a clean up day to get ready for summer school.
There will be no supervision on this day.

Last day of the 2011-12 School Year
