One of our Intermediate students requested the opportunity to sing the national anthem and of course, we said ‘Yes!’

Hailee enlisted the help of Zoe and Danielle and together with Miss Melody did a fantastic job for us before our morning announcements.

Thank you ladies for sharing your talent with us!

Adam – who, despite having a great work ethic and a love of learning, hates reading!  Of course this has nothing to do with his love for his favourite band – Maroon 5.  I wonder what would happen if they made a book about Maroon 5…would Adam read it?

Brandon -

Candace - who has skipped rope and played hopscotch on the fast lane of the 401.  But wait.  If she plays where she is supposed to travel, how does she get around?  Well, in addition to flying and gliding, which she loves to do, she has chosen to get from Point A to Point B by camel, elephant, horseback, snowshoe, kayak, canoe, dogsled and by sailing on a felucca.  I wonder how she comes to school….

Ella – who hates getting her hands dirty which makes washing dishes a big problem.  Also, she thinks that she is also the worst cook ever.  This means that she has to ask her sister to make pasta whenever she wants to eat it.  I think Mrs. Russo will have to offer pasta making on the classroom practical life shelf!

Max -

Scott -

Shauna – who hates cheese and who LOVES ripsticking.  That’s probably for the best because trying to do both at the same time could prove to be dangerous.  She could lose her balance, or worse, wind up being chased by a mischief of mice!

Well, you would:
- be the big fish in the Lakeview pond looked up to by all of the little bitty fish
- know the names of all of the teachers
- get chosen to do extra community responsibilities within the school like recycling and the announcements

AND, lastly, you get to go on an overnight field trip as your last hoorah here.
The grads were asked to come up with proposals for this trip which included transportation, lodging, meals and other costs.
Should you ever need a travel agent, these are the people to see!

This year, the students will be going to Sandusky, Ohio to visit CedarPoint and to stay at Kalahari Waterpark.
It should be a blast and we look forward to hearing all about it.
Of course, we’ll want to see photos, too!

It’s almost that time of year when we hold our spring social and honour our graduates.
There will be singing and dancing and lots of surprises as our Elementary students take to the stage.
And wait, there’ll be more.
There will be a presentation that will involve the entire school…it will be something else!

Of course, there will be time when our lovely grads will be in the spotlight.
One of  our students has been a part of our family for 11 years – can you guess who?

Our 5th Annual Invitational Track Meet is drawing close.

Date:  June 5, 2013 (raindate June 11)
Time:  All day event – 8:30-3:30
Location:  L’Essor High School

LMS will be competing against other area schools in track and field events.
Parents are able to volunteer or come and cheer on our fabulous athletes.

This is a fun-filled event that we look forward to every year.
