|1970's||Lakeview Montesssori School was founded in 1978 by Ms. Janice Mayhew and housed 15 students in St. Mark’s church hall|
|1980's||Lakeview continued to grow and was registered as a non-profit organization in 1981. It also became incorporated and is run by a Board of Directors.|
|1990's||The new 6500 square foot, 2-storey addition was completed to accommodate the increasing enrolment. After school activities such as tutoring, music lessons etc. began. All classes were under one roof. This new facility gave space to house 6 classrooms, a library, offices, reception area, learning materials area, a spacious staff room and beautiful kitchen|
|2000's||Janice Mayhew, the founder of this school, retired and Lakeview was under new management with Ms. Tesich. Ms. Mayhew continues to co-ordinate the MACTE accredited Lakeview Montessori Teacher’s Education Training. Facility got a face lift and 13815 Riverside Drive was purchased.|
|2010's||Under the Direction of Prof. Harris the school re-branded to accurately reflect our new 21st Century vision. Lakeview expanded to include a new Middle School Enrichment Program, became home to the new Arrowsmith Program, embraced the innovative world of global technology, moved in the direction for National Accreditations, and secured adjoining land as the site of our future gym.|
