We are looking forward to a fantastic opportunity for our school on November 28th! We have been chosen to be 5th in line at the parade right behind the Mayor which begins at 6:15pm!
It is a little long but here is some information for that night:
5:45pm: LMS band members in the Senior Class are asked to meet at the Public Works building to present the songs that they have been working hard on the last few weeks from 6:00pm – 6:15pm. Please look for Mr. Lee he will be there for 5:45pm. Don’t forget your instruments!
5:30pm-5:45pm: If you would like to participate in the parade we are going to meet at Lacasse Park. We were advised the best way to get there is taking Riverside Drive to Lacasse Blvd. If you can coordinate car pooling with other parents it that would help out any parking issues. We will designate an LMS parent to stand at the entrance to let you know where to meet us (any volunteers – Ms. Kristin will give you the details you just need to direct our parents). When you arrive in the park you will find a pylon marked #5, Ms. Kristin will be there at 4:30pm please look for her!
We recommend to find street parking around the area or park near town hall where the parade ends. If you are stopped at all, due to any road closures, let them know that you are in the parade with Lakeview Montessori School.
LMS is going to have a float in the parade, if students and parents are on the float you will need to stay on the float for the entire parade you will not be able to dismount the float unless you have an emergency.
All staff, students and parents will be supplied with bells, glow sticks, flyers, hand outs, LMS flags etc… We ask that families please bring a bag of candy to the parade for us to distribute as well. We will need four people to hold the school banner please let Ms Kristin know if you are interested in doing it.
At the end of the parade we encourage you to stick around at the tent located at Town Hall where the Town of Tecumseh will have fun events for the children to participate in such as movies, face paintings, horse rides, hot chocolate, hot dogs etc…
